Hannah Teter named Special Olympics ambassador

28 01 2014

Special Olympics has announced Olympic gold medallist snowboarder Hannah Teter as its newest global ambassador, supporting the sports organisation in its efforts to promote acceptance, inclusion, respect and dignity for people with intellectual disabilities.

Teter said 'I feel extremely honoured to join as a global ambassador for Special Olympics and plan to advocate for more people with intellectual disabilities to be recognised in mainstream and action sports. This cause is so important to me. One of my brothers has an intellectual disability and I've always wanted to get more involved with Special Olympics'.
